Road Closure for Tree Work Monday 9/16/2019 through Thursday 9/19/2019 from 7 AM to 5 PM. from 18 McCracken Rd (Lynch Yard) to the intersection of Greenwood Street.

All roads under construction will be top coated “Final Pave” starting July 2nd and please have all cars off the roads for the week (except July 4th) and may continue to the next week.

Road Paving: Coral Street, Granite Street and Town Hall Parking lot will be under construction beginning June 13, 2018. The roads and lot will be pulverized and graded, binder coat, castings adjusted and then final paving and striping. Please don’t have any vehicles parked on the roads or Town Hall Upper Parking Lot. Parking will be available at the Asa Waters Mansion (walking path from Asa Waters to Town Hall) or the rear of Town Hall (access through side door) for anyone doing business at Town Hall. Estimated time of construction is two (2) –three (3) weeks for completion.

The first phase of roads have been completed with grading and binder coat installed. The second phase of installing berm, and raising castings (catch basins, sewer manholes, drain manholes, water boxes and gas boxes) is under way and to be completed by the first week of June. The third phase is to install the top course (final pave) and is to be completed by the end of June. All line striping will be completed after final paving is completed. (Weather Permitting)
Roads Program expenditures to date (fiscal year 2018): The town has invested $484,526.28 in roads construction, preservation and drainage improvements.

To all residents residing on the roads that are under full paving construction: All sump pumps must be either turned off or redirected away from the roads as the water is creating an excessive amount of mud to the underlayment and will delay/prevent the roads from being paved. Please do so immediately as the paving schedule is supposed to begin April 26 and time for the roads to dry out is necessary.
