PUBLIC NOTICE
Pursuant to 333 CMR 11.07(3) of the Massachusetts General Laws, the Town of Millbury Department of Public Works will begin an herbicide spraying program for poison ivy and noxious weeds along municipal rights of way throughout the Town. This will be done on all public ways within the Town. Particular attention will be made to complaints from residents and along curbing and sidewalks.
The applications will begin by low pressure spraying on or about July 13, 2009, and will end on or about September 25, 2009. Spraying will not be done every day. The approved herbicide is “ROUNDUP”, and will be applied in minimum concentrations. The purpose is to control the growth of poison ivy and noxious weeds and to establish grass wherever possible so that roadside mowing will replace the need for herbicide treatments.
