Aquarion Water - November Hydrant Flushing
AQUARION WATER NOTICE - FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING
UPDATE
November 3rd through November 13th, 2008
from 9am - 3 pm - Monday-Thursday
We will continue flushing in the East Millbury area through November 13th. The West Millbury and Millbury center areas are now complete.
Fire hydrant flushing allows us to eliminate or expel sediments and/or other solids that might collect in the water mains. Flushing will improve water quality and fire flows.
There may be some temporary incidents of discolored, brownish tap water.
If this occurs please run cold water until it clears.
If you notice that brown water while flushing is occurring in your area, delay doing laundry until the water turns clear.
Discolored water poses no threat to your health. However, in the event of discoloration, Aquarion Water Company advises customers to store tap water in the refrigerator for drinking and cooking until the water clears up.
Signs will be posted in the area flushing is occurring. This schedule is subject to change.
